Copper Valley SR 2007
sorry
Presents the
Copper Valley Stage Race
March 2nd - 4th, 2007
A stage will be held each day consisting of a prologue TT, a crit and a road race. The overall purse this year has been increased to over $5000.
Due to a concern over participation levels at this year’s event, the format has been changed to an Omnium. All three stages must be completed for participation in the Omnium. It is also possible to race any of the stages individually for $25 per stage. Thanks for understanding that Procon cycling and San Tan racing are doing their best to promote and hold the best event possible and thanks for your support!
The stages
Copper Hills TT
The prologue course starts in the heart of downtown Globe. It continues through the city center before turning uphill to finish at the end of the pavement on Copper Hills Road.
Historic Downtown Criterium
The downtown criterium is a 6 corner course. The 1 kilometer course features 60' of elevation gain per lap, and finishes in front of the original Gila County court house.
Lake Roosevelt Road Race
Perhaps the most scenic of all Arizona races, this out and back course travels out to Roosevelt lake, crossing the bridge at Roosevelt Dam before making the return trip to Globe. A strategic climb located 10 miles from the finish will dictate the strategy of the day.
